MOSAC's planetarium visit works best when the show is part of the plan
The Sacramento science museum now supports advance planetarium reservations alongside general admission.

A question about the sky can begin with a small observation and expand quickly. At Sacramento's SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity, a planetarium show offers one way to pursue that curiosity alongside interactive science exhibits and design challenges.
Planetarium admission is a separate booking choice. The museum now allows a show to be reserved in advance when buying general admission online, and general admission is required to reserve or purchase planetarium tickets. Its current general-admission planetarium price is $7 per show.
Members may reserve their first show at no charge, with additional-show arrangements listed separately. Review the specific program's age guidance, timing and availability when choosing a performance. A general museum ticket alone does not reserve a seat in whichever show happens to be running.
MOSAC is at 400 Jibboom Street. Check current hours, admission options and accessibility resources before traveling. Bring a question to connect the theater experience with the rest of the visit: how do we represent something too large or distant to examine directly? One connection understood afterward may matter more than fitting every activity into the day.
